grew out of my search for a compassionate career to follow
decades of science teaching and medical research.  Graduate study in "how people make meaning" at UMass - a holistic approach to engaging with the world and life - led me in 2000 to the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy and especially to my studies with Solihin Thom, DO, DAc; Stephen Myles Davidson, DO; Loren Rex, DO; the Upledger Institute; and
Tracy Walton, MS, LMT

Years of receiving extraordinary, sophisticated, gentle bodywork taught me that deep-tissue therapy is neither the kindest nor most effective way to help someone.  I'm deeply grateful to my own therapists, doctors, and teachers for their wisdom, skill, and example which enabled
me to join in the work of serving others.
